چکیده

Abstract Background C. sinensis is an important economic crop with fluoride over-accumulation in its leaves, which poses a serious threat to human health due leaf consumption as tea. Recently, our study has indicated that cell wall proteins (CWPs) probably play vital role accumulation/detoxification . However, there been lack CWP identification and characterization up now. This aimed characterize proteome of leaves develop more CWPs related stress response. A strategy combined proteomics N-glycoproteomics was employed investigate CWPs. were extracted by sequential salt buffers, while N-glycoproteins enriched hydrophilic interaction chromatography method using material Afterwards all the subjected UPLC-MS/MS analysis. Results total 501 195 identified respectively profiling 118 common. Notably, feasible for identification, it can enhance coverage. Among CWPs, acting on polysaccharides constitute largest functional class, most might be involved structure remodeling. The second class mainly encompass various proteases turnover maturation. Oxidoreductases represent third (especially Class III peroxidases) participate defense As expected, are plant formation Conclusion first large-scale investigation through N-glycoproteomics. Our results not only provide database further research but also insight into response

Cell wall proteomics of crops

Cell wall proteins play key roles in cell structure and metabolism, cell enlargement, signal transduction, responses to environmental stress, and many other physiological events. Agricultural crops are often used for investigating stress tolerance because cultivars with differing degrees of tolerance are available. Abiotic and biotic stress factors markedly influence the geographical distributi...

Cell wall proteins: a new insight through proteomics.

Cell wall proteins are essential constituents of plant cell walls; they are involved in modifications of cell wall components, wall structure, signaling and interactions with plasma membrane proteins at the cell surface. The application of proteomic approaches to the cell wall compartment raises important questions: are there technical problems specific to cell wall proteomics? What kinds of pr...

Arabidopsis Regenerating Protoplast: A Powerful Model System for Combining the Proteomics of Cell Wall Proteins and the Visualization of Cell Wall Dynamics

The development of a range of sub-proteomic approaches to the plant cell wall has identified many of the cell wall proteins. However, it remains difficult to elucidate the precise biological role of each protein and the cell wall dynamics driven by their actions. The plant protoplast provides an excellent means not only for characterizing cell wall proteins, but also for visualizing the dynamic...

Cell wall cementing materials of grass leaves.

Treatment of grass leaves with either a purified pectin lyase of Aspergillus japonicus or a purified xylanase of Trichoderma viride could lead to the isolation of some single leaf cells. However, a mixture of pectin lyase and xylanase brought about more rapid isolation of single cells than did either of the two enzymes alone, indicating a synergistic effect. Analysis of the components released ...
